Just south of Jefferson City on Lake Ozark is Bear Creek Valley Golf Course. Open for play April 2001, this 18-hole par 72 course plays from 4,897 to 6,764 yards and offers 4 sets of tees to accommodate all handicaps. Designer/owner Sherril Duncan, has created a course with a variety of elevation change – so much so that carts are mandatory at all times. The rolling, tree-lined fairways lead to large fast greens – averaging 5,500 square feet each, and water comes into play on 12 holes.
