This fairly wooded course features water hazards (creeks and ponds) coming into play on seven holes. In addition, sand bunkers have been positioned on the fairways and around the greens. Shot accuracy is important because at least five holes feature dogleg fairways.

The greens average 6,000 square feet and are strategically placed among thousands of mature trees that dot the landscape around Little Haikey Creek, which runs through the heart of the course.

Cedar Ridge continues to be the host for the John Q. Hammons Hotel LPGA Classic for 2005-2006.
