174 Route du Golf St Alban, QC G0A 3B0 Canada p: 418.268.5210 This course originally opened with nine holes, but in 1987 Graham Cooke designed an additional nine. There is a view from the windowed clubhouse of the St. Anne River. The signature of the designer is the addition of numerous, deep, British-style sand bunkers. In addition to the bunkers, the fairways are heavily wooded with mature pine trees. The greens are quick, hilly and small. Most of the par 3's are relatively long while, the par 5's are rather short. A particularly difficult hole is #15, a 392-yard, par 4, featuring a dogleg left fairway with three bunkers protecting the elbow. One of the bunkers was intended to be a pond, but was made into a huge sand bunker instead. Just past the elbow is a pond. If your tee shot is long, you'll be in the woods. If it's short, you'll get wet. To make this hole a bit more challenging, the green is elevated and sloped. The yardage is an estimate provided by the course personnel. This facility can accommodate banquets of up to 300 people. |
