Located just south of Philadelphia, The Golf Course At Glen Mills opened for play March 2001. This 18-hole par 71 track was designed by Bobby Weed and features a combination of design styles. The front nine is more open and has a “linksy” feel, while the back nine is tree-lined and more of a traditional parkland track. The fairways vary throughout, and the large undulating greens roll fast. Water comes into play on one hole. Glen Mills measures from 4,703 to 6,636-yards and there are five sets of tees to challenge all skill levels. Twilight, junior, and senior discounts are available. The Golf Course At Glen Mills is directly linked to the Glen Mills Schools, which is the oldest exiting residential facility for troubled youths in the U.S. The students studying turf management and golf house operations learn their skills on the Golf Course At Glen Mills, and revenues generated from the operation of the course contriute to the student scholarship fund.
