This club has two championship eighteen hole courses situated in the Sonoran Desert. The Palmer Course is a desert-style layout with all of the holes framed by desert. There are several sectioned fairways. Target-style golf must be utilized, forcing players to be accurate with their ball placement. The greens are fairly large with slight undulations, making precise putting important to achieving a good score. Many of the locals say the course is more difficult than the slope ratings indicate. The Nick Faldo designed Faldo Championship Course opened January 2002 and is best described as an Australian sand belt style track. The fairways are surrounded by desert and lined with Saguaro cactus. The greens are large (averaging 7,000 square-feet), undulating and fast. There are no water hazards whatsoever on this course.
