Back in 1957, in the Western Open, Sam Snead finished just one stroke behind Doug Ford, despite taking a dreadful ten on the demanding fourth hole. Our 18-hole course represents a proud tradition of testing a golfer's mettle. Through its more than 80-year history, Plum Hollow has hosted four Michigan PGA tournaments, the PGA Championship, Ryder Cup Team Matches, a Women's Western Amateur and the Western Open. In summer of 2002, Plum Hollow will be the site of the U.S. Senior Open Qualifier. Today, among Michigan's private courses, Plum Hollow continues in the fine tradition of Michigan golf as the course is still ranked in the Top Ten.
