Rancho Park Golf Course has a glorious past. As home for the LA Open for many years, the course still has a plaque on the 18th tee commemorating Arnold Palmers 11 strokes on the 18th hole of an LA Open.

The course is owned by the City of Los Angeles and is generally in very good condition. The course challenging, numerous bunkers and mature trees with interesting holes that offers different looks. Though not overly hard it is a test and is very enjoyable if you have time to spare.

Rancho Park has a reputation as being the most played golf course in the nation and it is believable. Getting a tee time with a LA City Golf Card is an exercise in futility. And be prepared for a 5 to 6 hour round during the week. Best to be play very early in the morning or 30 to 60 minutes before twilight. Still in all, a very nice course to play.
