771 Austin St Coquitlam, BC V3K 3N2 Canada p: 604.936.1131 Website This traditional course was founded in 1910 by a group of Scotsman, and is the oldest golf club on the Lower Mainland. During the history of the club, it has had only five professionals. The early club was considered well out of town, and members came by railroad and horse-drawn cart. Many stayed in the clubhouse for the weekend. The current design features large trees lining the fairways, and large greens with fast speed. The front nine is hilly while the back is more flat. The signature hole is #7, a 192-yard, par 3, with water to left and trees to the right. Redesigns to the course have been performed over the years by Clinton Robinson, James Izatt, Bill Robinson, and John Steidel. Two LPGA tournaments and one Senior PGA event have been held on this course. |
